Careers

We recruit as we operate - quietly and deliberately

InterruptIQ grows its team through professional networks and direct referral. We do not post open vacancies. When we find the right practitioner, we find a way to work together.

How We Grow

Built on calibre, not headcount

Our practitioners come from environments where the stakes are high and discretion is not optional - signals intelligence, government cyber programmes, Big 4 advisory, and specialist incident response practices. We do not fill seats. We build a bench of exceptional people and engage them when and where they are needed most.

We look for those who are drawn to this work because of what it stands for - protecting organisations that cannot afford to be compromised - not because of job security or career ladders. If that resonates, we would like to know you exist.

01
Referral first
The majority of our practitioners come to us through professional introductions. Reputation precedes application.
02
No job boards
We do not post to recruitment platforms or use agency intermediaries. Our network is our talent pool.
03
Ongoing interest
We maintain a confidential register of practitioners we wish to work with. Timing is the only variable.
The Profile We Seek

Backgrounds we value

We are not prescriptive about titles or certifications. We are prescriptive about depth, discretion, and a demonstrated record in environments where failure has consequences.

Cyber Intelligence
Threat Intelligence & OSINT
Practitioners with a background in OSINT research, signals intelligence, or cyber threat intelligence production. Experience mapping adversary TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK frameworks, producing structured intelligence reports, and conducting dark web and criminal forum research.
Security Operations
SOC & Incident Response
Analysts and responders with hands-on experience in threat detection, alert triage, and active incident containment. Backgrounds in military cyber operations, CERT or CSIRT environments, or enterprise security operations centres at scale.
Forensics & Investigation
Digital Forensics
Examiners with experience in evidence acquisition, chain of custody procedures, and malware analysis. Law enforcement digital forensics backgrounds are particularly valued.
Advisory
vCISO & Security Advisory
Senior practitioners capable of translating technical risk into board-level language. Experience across regulatory frameworks - GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials - and comfort presenting to executive leadership, legal counsel, and non-technical stakeholders.
Non-Negotiables

What we expect from everyone on our bench

Technical depth is the baseline. What distinguishes our practitioners is something less easily taught.

  • Absolute discretion. Client identities, engagement details, and findings are never discussed outside the team.
  • Intellectual rigour. We produce intelligence products, not checkbox reports. Conclusions must be defensible.
  • Client focus. Our clients are small and medium businesses operating without enterprise security budgets. We serve them as though they were global institutions.
  • Commercial awareness. Understanding what a finding means for a business - not just technically - is as important as finding it.
Make Yourself Known

A confidential introduction

If your background aligns with the profiles above and discretion is second nature to you, we welcome a confidential expression of interest. We review all submissions carefully and will be in touch if and when a suitable engagement arises. There is no obligation on either side.

Submit a Confidential Expression of Interest

All submissions are treated with strict confidentiality. We do not share your details with third parties.
